Following the negotiations on 23 July, the editorial staff of Index has issued a formal written request to László Bodolai, the head of the foundation that owns Index, to reinstate the recently dismissed editor-in-chief, Szabolcs Dull.

The editorial staff has asked László Bodolai to provide a written response.

During the negotiations earlier that same day, Bodolai categorically refused Dull's reinstatement, and later confirmed this in writing, stating that he is in no position to restore Dull's position as  "the loss of trust towards him is so severe that I am unable to work with him under any circumstances."
